The VNA meets the second Thursday of every month of the year.

Meeting Location: The August neighborhood meeting will be held at Gordon Parks Elem. The September neighborhood meeting will be held at Charlotte Street. Stay tuned for details.

The VNA was honored to host the 2025 Volker Homes Tour on May 17, 2025! Kansas Citians and old home lovers from near and far toured five of Volker’s most exceptional and historic homes. Located on the west side of midtown, the Volker neighborhood is an eclectic mix of housing, people, and lifestyles. Architecture ranges from turn-of-the-century “Kansas City shirtwaist” and four-square styles, to modest single-family bungalows and multi-story, brick colonnade apartment buildings of the 1920s, to ranch style, infill housing of the 1950s. 

Join your neighbors this October for a lively and welcoming Volker block party! We're still finalizing all the details, but you can expect a fun-filled afternoon with live music, a delicious local food truck, and plenty of activities for all ages. Whether you’ve lived in Volker for decades or just moved in, this is a great opportunity to meet fellow neighbors, enjoy the fall weather, and celebrate the vibrant community we all call home. Bring the whole family—this event will be family-friendly, relaxed, and full of good vibes.

Each year we host Spring and Fall dumpster days. The VNA coordinates with the City to provide two dumpsters for trash, and one dumpster for leaf/brush debris. We frequently have electronic recyclers and/or metal scrappers attend the events as well. Please check with your local VNA area representative for details.
