Church Fetes Gordon Parks School on Feb. 20

As a community partner of Gordon Parks Elementary School, City Church-Kansas City is hosting a party for the school’s young scholars on Saturday, February 20, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM.

Highlight of the event will be eight shiny bicycles to be given away, thanks to an anonymous donor.  The bikes have been reconditioned to as-new condition, although very little had to be done in terms of maintenance, according to Pastor Robert Johnson.

On-going partnering between the congregation and the school include providing volunteers for cafeteria service and mentoring.
