Sales Tax Holiday

Missouri's annual back-to-school sales tax holiday runs Friday, August 6th to Sunday, August 8th.  Items like school supplies, clothing, computers, and more will be exempt from city, county, and state sales taxes in many places.

If you shop in KCMO, the City and Jackson/Clay/Platte Counties are all participating in the tax holiday.  If you shop outside KCMO, check the State's web site for a complete list of participating cities.

Burglary suspect caught

The suspect mentioned last week is now in police custody after a vigilent resident of the Valentine neighborhood saw him attempting a break-in and called police.

MoDOT seeks input on I-35

The Missouri Department of Transportation is currently seeking public input on the future of I-35 between the state line and the Downtown Loop. Since VNA is working with adjacent neighborhoods on ways to lessen the impact of Southwest Trafficway our quality of life, we are vigilent for any changes to I-35 that might divert more traffic onto Southwest Trafficway.
