Unlimited trash day

Ever year the City allows for a trash tag holiday on the first trash day after Christmas. Residents can set out an unlimited number of trash bags without using the red trash tags. This is a great way to get rid of extra trash that has been piling up, as well as holiday gift packaging.
Just remember, if something weighs more than 40 pounds or is longer than four feet, you must use the Bulky Trash service and make an appointment for pick up. 3-1-1 or 816-513-1313 or www.kcmo.org/bulky.
